KRISAT Educare Foundation is the brainchild of siblings Lalit Taneja and Rashmi Khurana. While lalit is an independent Financial Consultant, Rashmi a Freelance Interior Designer. Both the founder directors have been honing their career skills for over 15 years now, and have finally taken a step towards, what can easily be called their dream project.

The name KRISAT is essentially derived from the initials of the duo’s parents – KRISHNA and SATYA. The simple idea which leads to the foundation’s name exhibits the extent of the family’s dedication towards the cause of children and elderlies.

As a matter of fact, it was their mother’s incessant efforts towards teaching the housemaid’s children that led the directors to realise the underlying potential of the “Grandmother’s Project’ or ‘Granny Teaches the Young Movement’, as it is known in many parts of the world.

For all we know, even ‘EduCare’ is a thoroughly meditated word. While Edu stands for the education that the foundation aims to provide to the young, Care refers to the nurturing efforts that the organisation is willing to take for the elderlies.

While new to the world of social service, Lalit and Rashmi are both extremely excited and equally committed to bringing a radical shift in the way our society currently functions.
